America’s Coffee Craze: Are We Drowning in Sugar?

The National Coffee Association recently announced that coffee consumption has hit an all-time high in the past 20 years, with a staggering 67% of American adults enjoying a cup yesterday. No wonder coffee shops are sprouting up faster than mushrooms after a rainstorm! Every corner, every grocery store, even your grandma’s breakfast nook seems to be brewing something.

We delved deep into the Starbucks menu for all hot and cold drinks.

We found that Venti Frappuccino Java Chip, Venti Frappuccino Blended Creme – Green Tea and Venti Carmel Apple Spice have higher total sugar content.

Grande sizes seem to be have the most sugar and caffeine per ml, which might explain why Ventis sometimes taste a bit…meh. At least you’re getting more water or milk with those larger sizes.

With the holiday season in full swing, we decided to delve into consumer behavior. Turns out, people love flexibility when it comes to gifts. Cash is king (and queen!), with 45% of women and 34% of men preferring cold, hard cash or a simple bank transfer. So, if you forgot a gift, don’t panic! A crisp Benjamin might just save the day. (We have the data to back it up!)

Books and consumer electronics? Not so much. Seems people have their own unique interests.
